COVID-19 Update

March 16, 2020
Based on the guidelines that we have recently received from the governor’s office along with the federal government and the Carolina Conference, the Spartanburg Church is canceling Sabbath School, the worship service, along with all ministries, small groups, committee and board meetings at the church. Even our school and daycare have shut down in order to comply with the directives. For this reason, there will be no activities taking place on our church and school for at least the next two weeks or until we are given approval to do so.

We will either live stream or archive a message for this Saturday morning at 10:45 am. Be sure to check your email, and phone messages, along with the church website and Facebook page for the latest updates.

During this time, we want to encourage all of our adult Sabbath School classes and small groups to stay connected via social media or conference call. If you are 10 or fewer in number you may even want to get together in each other’s homes, but we will leave that up to you.

We also want to encourage you to contact our homebound members and senior citizens to see if there are any who need assistance with grocery shopping or other errands. If you personally need help in this way, please contact the church office, along with our elders, deacons or deaconess.

The church office will be cutting office hours during this time as well. We will post those days and hours as soon as a decision is made.

Please be of good courage during this time. As Seventh-day Adventist Christians we know what is taking place as Jesus predicted that these things would take place and He has promised to be with us.

Please be aware that many people do not have the hope or spiritual insight that we do. Ask God to lead you to speak with those who may be struggling so you can share how you can have confidence even during uncertain times such as these.

If there is anything that we can do to be of help, please don’t hesitate to contact the pastoral staff, our elders or other ministry leaders directly. After all, we are a family and we need to support each other during these challenging times.
