Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
It is quite possible that you could slip in and then slip out each Sabbath at church without someone noticing. But at the Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, we believe that Jesus meant for us to be part of the body of Christ in ministry, no matter how big or how small that part is. The more we share in the responsibility of the body of Christ, the more effective the work will be of spreading the love of Jesus and finishing the work He has commissioned us all to do.
You may think that you cannot preach or give Bible studies and therefore feel inadequate to the work of Christ. There is nothing further from the truth! God esteems those that do small things and those that do large things for the church as equal in making the body of Christ. Whether it is cooking for an event, running the equipment at the AV booth, giving Bible studies, or just opening your heart to others, God views us all as important to completing the Gospel Commission.
